  16. Here's one that's got me stumped:

  18. I just recently got a new machine with a faster (Global Village Teleport Gold
  19. II) modem and am now having problems downloading with Kermit.  It seems when
  20. I try to download a file on my Performa 6116CD at 9600 bps my modem hangs up.
  21. I didn't have this problem at 2400 bps on the internal modem in my PowerBook
  22. 145, but of course I'd rather not have to go back to using the slower modem.
  23. I've read the FAQ and Using C-Kermit and tried everything that I can think
  24. of: setting speed matching off as well as on, tried all possible parity
  25. settings, etc.  Is there something I'm not doing.  This problem occurs
  26. with Mac-Kermit 0.991(190) and 0.992(192).  I have edit 188, but haven't
  27. tried it, since I'm fairly certain that it will happen there as well.  Oh,
  28. and you'd probably also like to know that this is happening while trying to
  29. download from VM/CMS on an IBM 3090 mainframe through a series 1 protocol
  30. converter.  Anyone have any suggestions?
